Aqa Khan Liravi Castle: A historical edifice in southern Iran

Aqa Khan Liravi Castle is among the historical attractions of Bushehr Province, which is also registered on Iran’s National Heritage List.

Dating back to the Qajar era, this castle encompasses some unique architectural features.

Located in Hesar Village of Deylam, in the southern Province of Bushehr, Liravi Castle is one of the beautiful monuments on the shores of the Persian Gulf.

The height of the building is more than seven meters with 15 rooms and a bathroom with khazineh (a water tank).

Some sections, under the building, were used for keeping poultry and storing wheat and barley.

The inner courtyard of the castle has several sections including a kitchen, a bakery, a place for making yogurt and other dairy products.
